Frequently asked questions

Our FAQ page covers everything you need to know about booking, safety, age requirements, setup needs, and more. Whether you're planning your first event or just curious about how mobile axe throwing works, this is your go-to resource.

What is mobile axe throwing? We bring the full axe throwing experience to you! Our trailer includes professionally constructed targets, safety fencing, and trained staff to run your event—perfect for parties, festivals, and team-building.

Is axe throwing safe? Yes! Safety is our top priority. Our coaches are trained to oversee all activity and provide hands-on instruction. We also have fencing and clear rules in place.

What is included in my booking? Each package includes the trailer setup, targets, axes, and an experienced axe coach to help everyone throw safely and have a great time!

How far will you travel? ANYWHERE IN TEXAS!! While we're proudly based in La Vernia, we regularly serve the greater San Antonio area with no travel fees. If you're hosting an event a bit farther out, no problem — we’re happy to hit the road! Events outside of San Antonio are subject to a travel fee. Just give us a call for a no pressure quote!

Do you have an age requirement? You must be at least 13 years old to participate. Anyone under 18 must have a guardian present with a signed waiver. All participants must follow the safety rules provided by our staff.

Do I have to fill out a waiver? Yes! Our insurance requires every participant to fill out a waiver prior to throwing.

Are we allowed to drink while throwing? ABSOLUTELY!! That being said, our axe master is ultimately responsible for everyone's safety so we do reserve the right to end your axe throwing session if we feel you are inebriated or a danger to yourself and those around you. Please drink responsibly!

How big is the mobile axe throwing trailer? Our custom built trailer is 25' long by 7' wide and 10' tall. For 2/4 targets we require 30'x30' for set up and throwing. For 6/8 targets, we require 40'x30' for set up and throwing.

Do I need to wear anything specific? If you're referring to needing armor like the Vikings, the answer is NO! But do dress comfortably as it can be quite a workout. Our insurance does require every participant to wear closed toed shoes--NO EXCEPTIONS!

What are the rules? The Axe Master will go over all the specifics before you being throwing. The following rules are posted on our trailer and must be followed at all times... --Follow all directions from our team—no exceptions. --Closed-toe shoes are required. No sandals, no flip-flops. --One axe per target at a time. --Wait until everyone has thrown before retrieving axes together. --Do not pass axes between participants...they must be placed on the table to hand off. --Intoxicated or reckless behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances. --Trick shots are not permitted—keep it clean, keep it safe.

What about bad weather? We’re equipped to operate in various weather conditions, but safety will always come first. In cases of heavy rain or severe weather, axe throwing may be paused or rescheduled. We'll do our best to work around the forecast and keep things running smoothly.
